15 Big Organizational Improvements

The top experience of the runners at the NLB Ljubljana Marathon is one of the TOP 5 priorities of the organization of the event. Last year, we conducted a satisfaction survey among runners. As many as 2,043 runners completed the survey. We have carefully read all 1,141 received comments and remarks, which is why we are introducing as many as 15 improvements this year.

1. The start times have been separated by 1 hour, the Garmin 10 km starts at 8:00 a.m., and the Generali ZAME Half Marathon and Heineken 0.0 marathon at 9:00 a.m. With this, we had a strong influence so that there would not be too much crowding at the finish line.

2. We moved the awarding of medals closer to the finish line. Don't worry, there won't be a shortage of medals this year, we've ordered one for everyone.

3. We extended the water station at the finish line, added Heineken 0.0 non-alcoholic beer, and enriched the feed station at the finish at Trg Republike with additional Vitalgo bars and Nutrino Lab fruit porridges.

4. Each runner will receive an SMS with brutto and net time upon arrival at the finish line.

5. We will increase the changing rooms by as much as 100 m2.

6. We will place special strips on the BIB numbers to mark your bags before handing them to the cloakroom. We have increased the number of staff at the cloakroom reception. This will shorten the queues in front of the cloakroom.

7. We will increase the number of informants at the central venue and add direction boards.

8. We will increase the number of toilet cabins and, above all, we will additionally provide 1,000 rolls of Zewa toilet paper.

9. We will also add food to the refreshment station on the 10 km route to make it easier to reach the destination.

10. You runners put sustainability first - that's why we are introducing innovations in how to reuse or recycle all printed materials, banners, boards.

11. We will put greater emphasis on the control of entry into the starting zones - but - here we ask you all to be respectful to the runners and organizers, please follow the rules.

12. We have introduced a code of good behavior for the staff, with this we want to increase the friendliness of all members of the organizational team.

13.  EXPO in Arena Stožice will be greatly enriched with directional signs to the entrances from the highway to the exits from the garage.

14. We drew a new route on the Garmin run 10 km and we hope it will be even faster.

15. And like a piece of candy - Together with the company Lelosi, we have brought back the running shirt for everyone for the next three years.
