Slovenia hosts the European Team Athletics Championship

The European Team Championships for the 2nd and 3rd Divisions, held every two years under the auspices of European Athletics, will this year be hosted by Maribor. It is the largest athletics competition ever held on Slovenian soil.

The 3rd Division competition will take place on June 24 and 25, while the 2nd Division competition, in which Slovenia will compete, will be held on June 28 and 29, 2025.

The Slovenian national team, led by captains Kristjan Čeh and Tina Šutej, will compete in the 2nd Division for the first time in front of their home fans, aiming to advance to the 1st Division.
