The Slovenian capital hosted the NLB 28th Ljubljana Marathon. Slovenian long-distance runners set a series of records.
Winners in the elite Marathon men category are the Ethiopian Molla, Marathon women Kenyan Tele with a new course record. Primož Kobe fulfilled his prediction - he set a new Slovenian course record of 2:18:21. Jakob Medved and Liza Šajn also set Slovenian records for U-23 category at Half Marathon. The men's and women's course records were also broken in the 10 km, set by Vid Botolin and Klara Lukan.
13,044 runners took part in the Sunday runs, who set out on 10, 21 and 42 km long courses. Together with the participants of Saturday's children's runs, more than 21,242 participants of the NLB 28th Ljubljana Marathon ran on the streets of Ljubljana this weekend.
