On the day of the event, several roads will be closed in Ljubljana.
With the exception of the city center, roads will be closed and opened gradually from 7:00 AM. From 4:00 PM, there will be no more closures due to the marathon.
Crossings over the course will be possible at marked places, and security guards will provide safe passage for both pedestrians and drivers. You will only need to wait for a large crowd of runners to cross, but not more than 20 minutes. Driving along the marathon route will be prohibited!

The marathon route will also be published on the map on the website of the DARS Traffic Information Center www.promet.si at all times from Wednesday to Sunday afternoon. The route will also be visible on the Promet+ app. The crossing points will also be visible on the graphics. By clicking on an individual section of the route, the user will be able to get information about the expected time of closure of the section. If you will be traveling around Ljubljana that day, we recommend using this app, as it will avoid the marathon route and take you where the roads will be open.
The start is on Slovenska cesta (Slovenska street), the start line is marked before the intersection on Trg Ajdovščina, only 500 m from the finish line and 500 m from the changing tent on Trg Republike. The entrances to the starting compartments will be marked on the left and right sides along Slovenska cesta, and the number of your compartment will also be marked on your start number.

You can leave your wardrobe in thebaggage drop area on Trg republike (Republic Square). The tent opens on 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, 19 October 2025. Each piece of luggage should be marked with your BIB number.
ATTENTION: on the right side of your BIB number, there is a perforated coupon, which is intended to mark your piece of luggage (the sports bag that you received in the start package). Please tear off the coupon, attach it to a visible part of your luggage and give it to the staff in the baggage drop area.
Drop-off and pick-up will thus be much faster. Thank you.
